VOICE MAIL:

Voice Mail is a very important feature of telephony. Callers are diverted to Voice Mail, when you do not pick-up a call within 6-7 rings or you have activated DND or your device is offline (not connected to Internet) or you do not answer an incoming call while Call waiting is activated. Voice Mail works when a DID is subscribed. There are multiple ways to check your Voice Mails:

From My Account: Please login to My Account and look for Voice Mail function.

From broadband device: Please dial your own DID (full number: country code, area/city code, and the number) OR 9999+DID OR *0# from your broadband phone and follow the voice prompt to enter your 4-digit Voice Mail password followed by the “#" key then simply follow voice prompts to hear your messages.

From a regular phone: Please dial your DID from a regular phone when you hear greeting message press “*” key, then on voice prompt enter your 4-digit Voice Mail password followed by the “#” key and then simply follow the voice prompts to hear your messages.

From PC-Dialer: Please dial your own DID (full number: country code, area/city code, and the number) OR 9999+DID from your PC-Dialer and follow the voice prompt to enter your 4-digit Voice Mail password followed by the “#’ key then simply follow voice prompts to hear your messages.

-> Checking Voice Mail from Broadband phone, PC-Dialer and My Account is FREE.
-> Checking Voice Mail from a regular phone may incur you Long Distance call charges.
-> If you are first time accessing your Voice Mail, the default Voice Mail Password is: 1234.
-> While accessing your Voice Mail to check messages, If you hear greeting message press "*" key      immediately, then on voice prompt enter your 4-digit Voice Mail password followed by "#" key,      and then simply follow voice prompts to hear your messages.

BROADBAND DEVICE SERVICE FEATURES:

If you are using Linksys or Sipura broadband devices, you can avail all following features for FREE. While traditional Phone companies charge for most of the features described below.

Balance Check (NEW): From your broadband device, just pick-up the receiver and dial "*88#", you will hear an announcement informing the current available balance (funds) in your Account.

Caller ID: It allows you to see the caller’s phone number on your telephone set (requires a caller ID compatible telephone set with display) connected to your broadband device.

Caller ID Block: It allows you to block your identity (mostly your phone number) appearing on telephone display of the party you called. To activate Caller ID Block, pick up the receiver and dial “*67” to de-activate dial “*68”.

Call Waiting:
It allows you to receive an incoming call while you are already talking on phone. Suppose you are talking to A, B calls you, you will hear short beeps (A will not hear the beeps), press the flash key on your phone or hook-flash to speak with B, and A will be placed on hold. You can press flash key again or hook-flash to return to A. By pressing flash key or hook-flash you can toggle between A & B. To activate Call Waiting, pick-up the receiver and dial “*56” to de-activate dial “*57”. If Call waiting is activated and you do not answer the second call, after 6-7 rings the caller will be diverted to Voice Mail.

Call Waiting Caller ID: It allows you to see Caller ID of a caller while you are already talking on phone. To activate Call Waiting Caller ID, pick-up the receiver and dial “*25” to de-activate dial “*45”.

Auto Re-dial Last Number: It allows the system to keep dialing with a suitable interval the last dialed number. The system will try to connect the last dialed number for upto 30 minutes. To use/activate this feature, pick-up the receiver and dial “*66” and hang-up, the system will try the last dialed number, meanwhile you can make regular use of your phone, as soon as the remote party is connected your phone will ring and you will be able to talk with the remote party. If you do not wish to talk with the remote party, you can de-activate Auto Re-dial last Number anytime by dialing “*86”.

Call Conference (Three-Party Calling):
It allows you to make conference call between you and other two parties. For example, on an incoming call you are talking with A, and want to include B in your conversation, press flash key or hook-flash, you will hear dial tone, now dial to B, when connected with B, press flash key or hook-flash again, now you have a conference with A & B. To disconnect B, press flash key or hook-flash, B will be disconnected and you are remain connected with A, to disconnect A, simply hang up when you are finished talking.

Do Not Disturb (DND): It allows you to divert all incoming calls to Voice Mail without ringing your phone. To activate DND, pick-up the receiver and dial “*78” to de-activate dial “*79".

Anonymous Call Block (ACB): It allows your phone not to ring if an incoming call has no identity (Caller ID). Usually telemarketers call without an identity and block their telephone number to appear on the receiver’s telephone display. Some people do not like to receive an incoming which does not carry the identity. To activate ACB, pick-up the receiver and dial “*77” to de-activate dial “*87”. Please note in ACB activation mode, incoming calls carry no identity will be rejected or may be diverted to your Voice Mail, depending upon the Network status.

Call Return: It allows you to call the last caller who called you. Suppose you are out of your office or home and when you come back you wish to call the last caller who called you. Just pick-up the receiver and dial “*69” and wait until you hear ringing or Voice Mail of the last person or caller who called you. If you do not wish to speak with last caller, just hang-up.

Call Forwarding: It allows you to forward all incoming calls to another telephone number anywhere in the world. To use this feature, please login to My Account and look for Call Forward function. Please note that Tabtel will charge you for the destination you are forwarding your calls to on per minute basis as per standard Tabtel calling rates. When Call Forwarding is enabled, your phone will not ring and all incoming calls will be forwarded to your specified telephone number.

Fax Send / Receive: You can attach any standard fax machine to your broadband device to send and receive faxes. No any additional configuration or setting is needed. However we do not provide support for this feature.

NOTE: Most of the features, except Fax Sending, works when a DID is subscribed.
